Ciranda and Incredo announced recently at SupplySide Global 2025, that the two companies had formed a partnership.

In a recent press release, a certified organic, non-GMO, and fair-trade food ingredients North American supplier, Ciranda, announced during the SupplySide Global 2025 conference that took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, between October 27 to October 30, 2025, that the company would be partnering with Incredo, a global ingredient innovator, as well as the creator of Incredo Sugar.1

Through this new partnership, Ciranda will be able to provide their customers with clean-label sugar options for them to be able to develop products that consist of full-flavor, taste, and texture, despite lowering sugar. Incredo Sugar is the only sugar product currently that is available on the market that is produced from real cane sugar, according to the press release.1 The ingredient is produced through a patented process and does not contain artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols, or high intensity sweeteners. As mentioned in the press release1, Incredo Sugar is “non-GMO, gluten-free, and labels simply as ‘cane sugar’ or ‘cane sugar, protein’.”

A presentation from 2024 IFT, cited data from Innova Market Insights2, regarding their Health & Nutrition Survey, that found that more than 60% of consumers located in the US and Canada disclosed that they “would rather cut back on sugar than use alternative sweeteners to sugar.” Additionally, the survey mentioned that the most accepted natural sweetener was cane sugar and ranked higher than stevia and monk fruit.

“We see an exciting market opportunity today in the clean-label sugar reduction space,” said Doug Audette, CEO, Ciranda.1 “Consumers want simple, recognizable ingredients in their food. Incredo Sugar delivers on those demands and exemplifies the forward-looking, clean-label solutions we strive to deliver to our customers.”

In the press release, Ciranda disclosed that the Incredo Sugar product will be available to customers that are interested in creating food products such as fillings, nutraceuticals (including gummies), spreads, snacks, bars, and other bakery products.1

Ciranda Grows with Three New Reduced-Sugar Syrup Offerings

In 2023, Ciranda announced that the company had introduced three new syrups that the company says meet consumer demands for reduced sugar.3 The new syrups are derived from tapioca and/or agave and can be used singly or in combination to replace traditional syrups in formulations like desserts, bars, ice cream, cereal, beverages, and gummies.

The first option is Tapioca Syrup RS18, which is offered in a non-GMO version as well. The company’s press release describes it as “a clear, mildly viscous syrup produced from tapioca starch.”3 It adds: “Its sweetness is similar to Ciranda’s tapioca syrup DE40, but with 38% less sugar.” The company says RS18 has film-forming and binding properties as good as lower-DE syrups, making it an “effective single-syrup” ingredient for bars, confectionery, and gummy supplement products.

The second new syrup is Agave Syrup AL40, which is available in organic and non-GMO versions. Produced from the blue agave plant, the ingredient is described as a sweet and light-amber syrup. Its sugar reduction is achieved because “a portion of the fructose is converted into allulose, resulting in a sweet syrup with 40% less sugar and 40% fewer calories than Ciranda’s standard agave syrup,” the company's press release explains. It is suited for frozen desserts, beverages, and cereals.

The third syrup is Agave Syrup IN10, which is also available in organic and non-GMO versions and is also sourced from blue agave. The light-amber syrup “has 9% less sugar and 8% fewer calories than Ciranda’s standard organic agave syrup, with 10% of the solids retained as prebiotic inulin fiber,” the press release explains.3
