Cargill (Minneapolis) has made an offer to acquire global animal nutrition firm Provimi for €1.5 billion. With operations in 26 countries and more than 7000 employees worldwide, Provimi will strengthen Cargill’s position in the market. Provimi’s nutritional expertise, plus portfolio of premixes, additives, and ingredients, will complement Cargill’s strengths in animal feed and its global supply chain.

Cargill’s corporate vice president Todd Hall said that the acquisition would broaden innovation and market development. “Provimi’s excellence in cutting-edge technology and application, alongside Cargill’s global supply chain and market insights, should enable us together to develop and deliver a range of innovative, high-quality products and services to customers.”
