Beverage Brand Licenses ChromaDex’s Pterostilbene

Together, the companies plan to jointly develop a proprietary ingredient blend for the food and beverage, nutraceutical, and cosmetic markets.

Cott Beverages Inc., a subsidiary of private-label beverage company Cott Corp., has licensed ChromaDex Inc.’s (Irvine, CA) pTeroPure pterostilbene ingredient. Together, the companies plan to jointly develop a proprietary ingredient blend for the food and beverage, nutraceutical, and cosmetic markets.

Cott Beverages specializes in juice concentrates, fruit powders, and fruit extracts, with a focus on functional ingredients.

The announcement was made in June, during which pTeroPure was affirmed Generally Recognized as Safe by AIBMR Life Sciences for use in food and beverages.
