Bayer Launches Neptune Krill Oil Product

GC Rieber VivoMega has announced that its three omega-3 facilities are running on 100% renewable energy after having implemented an electric steam boiler to power its marine and microalgae omega-3 operations.

At this year’s Natural Products Expo West, two brands have launched their own versions of algae DHA ingredients; FrieslandCampina and Aker BioMarine. Each brand showcased a different approach to the ingredient.

In the study, supplementation alone did not have a significant impact on cardiovascular outcomes in patients who've recovered from mycocardial infarction. However, subjects taking omega-3s that had a 5% increase in omega-3 index did see better health outcomes than those who did not.
