Jan-Peter Sander will lead BASF's personal care business strategy in Europe.
BASF SE (Ludwigshafen, Germany) has appointed Jan-Peter Sander as senior vice president of BASF Personal Care Europe. A BASF employee of 25 years, Sander most recently held the same position under BASF’s Pigments and Resins Europe business.
The Personal Care Europe unit of BASF was established following the company’s 2010 acquisition of Cognis, a supplier of lutein and other ingredients for personal care and nutritional markets.
“We will continue to establish BASF as the market-leading supplier to the personal care industry by focusing on anticipating customers’ current and future requirements and providing the market with innovation-driven solutions,” said Sander.
