Article

Like Alpha Packaging, Vanga specializes in the manufacture of HDPE and PET bottles and jars.

Alpha Packaging (St. Louis), a specialist in the manufacture of plastic bottles and jars, has acquired Vanga Products (Plastics) Inc. (Surrey, BC, Canada) to increase its share of the Pacific Northwest packaging market. The acquisition gives Alpha Packaging more than 100 new offerings for pharma, nutritional, household chemical, and food packaging markets.

Like Alpha Packaging, Vanga specializes in the manufacture of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles and jars.

“The Vanga stock product line is an excellent fit for our existing customer base, and we are now well positioned to capture more market share in the Western portion of North America,” said Alpha Packaging senior vice president of sales and business development Brian McCarthy. “The two companies share some of their largest customers and have similar capabilities, so the integration will be relatively seamless for both our customers and our sales team.”

Vanga will begin operating as a branch of Alpha effective immediately.
