Arne Speybrouck will focus on developing business for Aker’s Superba krill supplements in Europe.
Aker BioMarine Antarctic AS (Oslo, Norway) has welcomed Arne Speybrouck as business director for European sales. Speybrouck, who most recently worked at Capsugel EU and has extensive experience in the nutritional supplement and pharmaceutical industries, will focus on developing business for Aker’s Superba krill supplements in Europe. While at Capsugel, part of Speybrouck’s experience was in krill oil and Capsugel’s LiCaps capsule technology.
“This is an exciting new position for me, as I strongly believe krill is one of the major new ingredients with a bright future and untapped potential,” Speybrouck stated to the press.
Speybrouck, who has master’s degrees in biotechnology and environmental sciences, has served as a board member of the Healthfood Manufacturers Association UK, the European Responsible Nutrition Alliance, and the European Botanical Forum.
