Aelius Biotech announces rapid small-scale human trial service for supplements and functional foods

In a recent press release, Aelius Biotech announced their new Benchmarking Ingredients for Tolerability and Efficacy (BITE) trials service^.1 Through this service, the company offers rapid, small-scale, and results-driven human trial services to evaluate and support marketing and scientific claims of dietary supplements and functional foods. The service is supposed to be cost effective and will have trial protocols designed for the client’s specific needs. Trials for this service will take place in Newcastle where the company is based, overseen by the Aelius Biotech team under the ethical guidance of Newcastle University (Newcastle upon Tyne, England).¹

BITE trials will be measuring biometric changes, questionnaire responses, and blood markers. It will be used exclusively with food-safe products and will help move products forward with the human data collected.

The BITE trial service will be launching at Future Food Technology, taking place in San Francisco, CA, between March 13-14, 2025.
