ADM (Chicago) announced that its North America Microbiology Lab received ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation by the ANSI National Accreditation Board. Located at the ADM Specialty Manufacturing Facility in Decatur, IL, ADM’s microbiology lab provides testing services for finished products for more than 26 ADM manufacturing facilities in North America.
“The accreditation confirms that ADM’s Microbiology Laboratory will now be able to offer laboratory testing services that are accepted globally,” states a company press release. “The accreditation process involved a thorough evaluation of the lab’s testing procedures, equipment, and personnel by a Certified Accreditation Body.” Criteria included accuracy, reliability, and consistency of testing.
The microbiology lab also advances testing innovation and works to increase the volume of tests that can be performed. It also employs an information management system that facilitates quick reporting to ADM clients, the firm says.
