The U.S. China Health Products Association (USCHPA) will host its annual International Sports Nutrition Industry Summit in Shanghai on August 15, 2018, at the Regal International East Asia Hotel. The summit’s strategic timing places it the day before the start of the FIBO China Expo, making it convenient for international travelers to attend both.
China is a fast-growing market in the sports nutrition category, growing at a rate of 40% over the last few years and conservatively estimated to be worth over $200 million (2017). This is the result of investment by international brands into the market, Chinese acquisitions, and a government initiative called “Healthy China 2030,” which encourages citizens to take part in athletics and fitness programs like yoga and Cross Fit. The opportunity and growing competition make USCHPA an important resource for members to build relationships in the Chinese sports nutrition space.
Presentations will cover the following topics: regulatory environment, cross-border e-commerce, consumer trends, market size and growth, fitness industry insights, manufacturing in China, distribution, quality and product testing, introduction to FIBO, and much more.
The summit is sponsored by Glanbia, GNC, and NSF International as well as partners China Gate Consulting, FIBO China Expo, and Reed-SinoPharm Exhibitions. More information about the summit can be found at www.uschinahpa.org.
