Sabinsa says it is now the sole owner of the Boswellin trademark in the European Union.
Sabinsa Corp. (East Windsor, NJ) announced it has won a case against Czech Republic-based company Orling over the Sabinsa-owned trademark for Boswellin, Sabinsa’s Boswellia serrata ingredient. Sabinsa says it is now the sole owner of the Boswellin trademark in the European Union.
Sabinsa was granted permission to have Orling’s Boswellin trademark in the Czech Republic invalidated by the CZ patent office.
Sabinsa’s founder Muhammed Majeed, PhD, stated: “Time after time, Sabinsa is vindicated by our efforts to protect our intellectual property. We would truly prefer to see those companies put the same effort into developing their own intellectual property rather than ride on our coattails.”
Recently, Sabinsa was also awarded damages for Creative Compound’s ForsLean trademark infringement.
