Sabinsa to showcase ingredient portfolio and product concepts at Vitafoods Europe 2022

The ingredient is manufactured by Gnosis by Lesaffre as an alternative to rhodiola extract. Salidroside is the most studied bioactive in rhodiola, to which the extract efficacy is attributed to.

The new range is the result of a recently acquired majority stake in Azerys, a specialist in rosemary extraction.

The study focused on the adulteration of black cohosh rhizome, echinacea root or herb, elder berry, ginkgo leaf, and turmeric root/rhizome. The authors reviewed 78 publications with a total of 2995 samples. Of the 2995 samples, 818 were reported to be adulterated or mislabeled.

The new product is a drink mix that combines the replenishing benefits of Ultima Replenisher’s existing electrolyte drink mixes with Nutrition21’s branded chromium picolinate, Chromax, which has been clinically shown to reduce cravings and manage appetite

The regulations would ban any hemp-derived food, beverage and dietary products from having any THC levels and impose an age restriction of 21 to purchase these products.
