OmniActive Health Technologies has achieved self-affirmed GRAS status for its Lutemax 2020, introduced last year. Lutemax 2020 contains lutein and zeaxanthin, including both types of zeaxanthin isomers (3R and 3’R) present in the eye, in a 5:1 ratio.
The company says that the 5:1 ratio of lutein to zeaxanthin is the same ratio naturally present in the eye.
