Olly expands to fitness market with new sports nutrition gummies

Gummy-supplements leader Olly is entering the fitness market with two new product launches. The new products are called Pre-Game Energize Gummy Rings and Post-Game Recovery Gummy Rings.
Pre-Game Energize Gummy Rings are designed to “help set you up for a worthwhile workout by boosting energy production and delivering the stamina you need to stay on track,” the brand’s press release states. Ingredients include the branded ingredient S7 from FutureCeuticals (Momence, IL), a blend of seven plant-based ingredients that has been clinically shown to increase nitric oxide levels by 230%. The Olly press release states, “The S7 Plant-Based Blend works as a nitric oxide booster, reducing oxidative stress and helping your body’s endurance, while vitamins B12 and B6 help support cellular energy production.”
The second new product, Post-Game Recovery Gummy Rings, is designed to “support muscle strength and recharging” and includes ingredients like vitamin D and turmeric to promote muscle and joint health.

New review from BAPP estimates adulteration of five popular botanicals
September 10th 2024The study focused on the adulteration of black cohosh rhizome, echinacea root or herb, elder berry, ginkgo leaf, and turmeric root/rhizome. The authors reviewed 78 publications with a total of 2995 samples. Of the 2995 samples, 818 were reported to be adulterated or mislabeled.
