NP Nutra (Rancho Dominguez, CA) now offers a certified-organic wheatgrass juice ingredient under the company’s signature ingredients line. Called NutraGrass, the ingredient is derived from wheatgrass sprouts (Triticum aestivum).
NutraGrass is rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids, phyto nutrients, and metabolic enzymes, says NP Nutra. The ingredient also contains up to 70% chlorophyll, with a low-temperature gentle drying process used to preserve color and nutrients.
The organic wheatgrass ingredient is suitable for powdered formulas, capsules, tablets and other supplements. NP Nutra suggests its use for energy and cleansing formulas in any number of product applications.
NP Nutra says that, due to its moisturizing and antioxidant qualities, wheatgrass can even be a suitable addition to cosmetic, skin, and hair care products.
