Natures Crops International (Prince Edward Island, CA) has entered into a global supply agreement with Braini LLC (Winston-Salem, NC) for its branded Ahiflower oil (NeurXcel) which will be incorporated into the Braini memory and cognitive health platform slated for launch in December of 2019. Ahiflower oil is a rich source of plant-based SDA, GLA, and ALA fatty acids. In vitro and human clinical trials conducted by Braini LLC demonstrated that NeurXcel improved the neuro-protective and restorative activities of known memory-enhancing nutraceuticals, notably Peptylin.
“An increasing body of evidence shows the unique role that full-spectrum plant-based omega sources play in supporting a range of health outcomes in mental wellness and cognition,” said Greg Cumberform, Natures Crops’ director for science and regulatory, as well as vice president of Braini LLC, in a press release. “The Braini platform will be like none other in that it involves no stimulants and uses only traceable, sustainable natural ingredients which already have either NDIN or GRAS review status with FDA. Braini is backed by rigorous clinical studies to support efficacy in improving cognitive performance, and offers a self-test to ensure transparency of effectiveness to the consumer.”
Braini’s patent-pending formulations will be available direct to consumers and practitioners in the Unites States, followed by rollouts in Canada and the European Union corresponding to regulatory clearance.
