Kyowa Hakko (New York) is supporting NYC healthcare workers by raising and matching funds for NYC Health + Hospitals, a public healthcare system with more than 42,000 employees on the frontlines in the Big Apple. Donations went to meals, groceries, supplies, and transportation services.
“During this time of crisis and uncertainty, supporting our local NYC healthcare workers who are laboring tirelessly around the clock is of utmost priority for us,” said Leo Cullen, president of Kyowa Hakko USA, in a press release. “At Kyowa Hakko, we strive to contribute to the optimal health and well-being of people around the world, and we hope our response efforts will help further this mission as we all grapple with this crisis.”
Additionally, Kyowa partnered with one of its ingredient customers to support fitness professionals who are struggling as a result of COVID-19. The initiative will help generate additional income for those who were impacted by gym/training facility shutdowns.
“Just as it’s imperative for us to support our healthcare workers, it’s also essential to support our customers with their COVID-19 response initiatives,” Cullen said. “We hope that our efforts to help get this campaign started will foster a positive impact for our nation’s fitness professionals whose jobs have been deeply affected by COVID-19. When key players in the health and wellness industry can work together, real hope for optimism and change emerges.”
