Gencor recently announced that it will be launching a nutraceutical arm under the name of Saanroo. We interviewed John Quilter, the CEO of Saanroo, at SupplySide Global 2025 to learn more about this rebrand and why it was important.

Sebastian Krawiec: So obviously, the big news today is the launch of Saanroo, formerly Gencor. So you guys have rebranded to Saanroo, can you kind of talk about the intention behind that, of becoming your own nutraceutical arm, what does that say about your priorities as a company moving forward?

John Quilter: Well, first of all, we're very excited. Today is day one of Saanroo. Gencor has been in business in both the pharmaceutical API area and also the nutraceutical area ffor 25 plus years. Our business has grown extensively in both categories. We felt now was the right time for us to develop a global, dedicated nutra division, and we're setting up nutra teams across the globe. We've been in North America for 20 plus years with very strong brands like Testofen, Tesnor and the male health category, we extended into women's health. Longevity is a key macro trend here behind us that we're focused on promoting. And the fourth area that we're really key in is advanced delivery systems technologies from our strategic partner, Pharmako, so we felt that we needed to really focus, and by focusing on nutra, we felt the new brand name to characterize us was the right path forward. So we're very excited about it. And Saanroo, very briefly, comes from our Tamil origins that Venkatesh and Jitta, our founders, were from South India, and they brought a lot of botanical herbal knowledge to our business, which we developed quite aggressively further on from there. And Saanroo in Tamil means evidence, or clinically proven. And you can see our tagline, "wellness proven." So we're very excited to come out and share our perspective with the industry. Over our years, we've invested in 50 plus clinical studies. We've invested in excess of $15 million in clinicals. So we're very dedicated to the science. And sanru gives us a vehicle to show to the industry what we're about, and really it's about helping our customers, consumers, to bring these fantastic technologies to market.
