Gencor (Austin, TX) has announced that it will be rebranding to Saanroo, reflecting the company’s renewed commitment to deliver innovative, evidence-based ingredients for nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals, practitioners, and functional food and beverages. The rebrand means that Sanroo will operate as a nutraceutical division while Gencor Pacific will continue to operate as a pharmaceutical arm.
“Saanroo represents the next chapter in our journey—a brand built on proof, not promises,” said John Quilter, CEO of Saanroo, in a press release. “Our mission is simple yet powerful: to help people live longer, healthier lives through wellness that is truly proven.”
According to the company’s press release, Saanroo comes from the Tamil word “sanru.” Tamil is the language of the Indian state Tamil Nadu. This is where the Gencor founders originate from, and a place that they say inspired the company’s success for the past 25 years. “We altered the vowels to improve the pronunciation of ‘Saan’ plus the suffix ‘roo,’ which signifies lightness and memorability,” the press release explains. “This modern yet rooted meaning translates to ‘Proof, Testimony, Evidence.’”
The new logo is also very intentional, says Saanroo. The series of dot molecules that form the “S,” for example, symbolize movement, connection, and constant evolution. The circular marks are also deliberately imperfect , expressing the realistic organic quality that reflects the Saanroo ethos. Additionally, the colors blend visual identity and the company’s various aspects, such as “blue for its pharmaceutical history, green for its leadership in nutraceuticals, and yellow for its delivery innovation and technology.”
“We are so proud to launch our nutraceutical division as a separate company,” said Ramasamy Venkatesh, Managing Director of Gencor Pacific. “This move marks a strategic expansion in bridging the scientific integrity of pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals to deliver safe, innovative, and efficacious ingredient solutions for our customers and partners.”
