NSF scientists tested The Vitamin Shoppe’s True Athlete products for over 165 athletic banned substances.
The Vitamin Shoppe has become the first retailer to earn NSF Certified for Sport certification for its True Athlete product line.
The NSF Certified for Sport programs was created to ensure that absence of banned substances in sports nutrition and other dietary supplement products.
According to NSF International:
To earn NSF Certified for Sport® certification, The Vitamin Shoppe’s True Athlete products underwent a rigorous testing and inspection program to verify compliance to NSF/ANSI Standard 173, the only official accredited American National Standard for dietary supplements and ingredients. This included a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) facility audit, label claim testing/verification and a contaminant review. NSF scientists also tested The Vitamin Shoppe’s True Athlete products for over 165 athletic banned substances.
