Draco Natural Products (San Jose, CA) announced that its Shanghai manufacturing facility has been GMP certified for food. The certification covers sanitation, handling, and preparation, and complements the company’s Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) program.
The company adds that the food GMP certification was not a requirement but was obtained to provide extra assurance of quality and safety. The inspection was performed by SGS, which also performed the supplier’s ISO 9001:2000 and HACCP certifications. Draco is also kosher certified and certified organic in accordance with USDA’s National Organic Program as well as EU program.
