The Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act now awaits a signature from president Barack Obama.
By a vote of 264 to 157, the House today passed S. 3307, the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act. The bill had been stalled since its passage in the Senate this Summer.
S. 3307 will provide an increase in funding towards school nutrition throughout the country while providing several other new measures, including updated nutrition standards for school vending machines.
