Equipment cleanup gets easier with these mixers.
Charles Ross & Son Co. (Hauppauge, NY) is announcing the market introduction of double planetary mixers and discharge systems intended for speedy processing of non-flowing viscous mixers. Compared to conventional horizontal sigma blade mixers and kneader extruders, the double planetary mixers offer shorter cycle times and lower operating costs, says the company.
Equipment cleanup gets easier with these mixers because a discharge operation automatically wipes down sidewalls of the mix vessels, leaving only a thin layer of product to be cleaned out of the bottom of the vessels.
