D.D. Williamson’s annatto colorant has been declared USDA certified organic. Annatto, a carotenoid, is extracted from the outer coating surrounding the seeds of Bixa orellana trees. The company says that it is North America’s only supplier of certified-organic annatto extract for coloring.
