BioVivo unveils new US facility and will highlight American ginseng extract at IFT First 2025
The new cGMP-certified manufacturing facility aims to enhance supply chain resilience.
In a July 9, 2025, press release, BioVivo Science announced the launch of its new US manufacturing facility, and the introduction of its American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius) extract at the upcoming IFT First 2025.
BioVivo Science has invested $70 million in the new 100,000-square-foot cGMP-certified facility for botanical ingredients. Located in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the addition of the facility aims to expand BioVivo's domestic production and supply-chain resilience.
Additionally, the company will present its US-grown American ginseng extract at booth #4505 during IFT First, taking place Chicago, July 14–16. BioVivo’s extract contains the active compounds ginsenosides Rb1, Re, Rg1, polysaccharides for immune support, and flavonoids. The extract features solubility, bioavailability, and is available as a water-soluble standardized extract and a powder, able to be used in beverages, supplements, and functional foods.
On July 14 at IFT First, BioVivo will present the session, “Securing the Future of Functional Ingredients: U.S. Made Botanical Solutions,” highlighting the various ways supply chains could benefit from domestic manufacturing.
“BioVivo Science’s investment in this facility underscores our commitment to strengthening the U.S. supply chain while delivering locally manufactured, premium botanical extracts,” stated Chris Smith, director of strategic operations and supply chain at BioVivo Science, in the press release. “The launch of our American Ginseng extract highlights our focus on innovation, traceability, and providing science-backed ingredients to support health.”
The adaptogenic and cognitive health benefits from American ginseng are driving market and global interest in the botanical, the press release explained, further supported by studies on the plant’s stress management and cognitive support benefits.
