BioSymphony natural flavors portfolio launched by Sensient Flavors & Extracts

Sensient Flavors & Extracts unveils their new natural flavors portfolio offering, BioSymphony.

Continuing to grow in the food and beverage industry, Sensient Flavors & Extracts recently announced the launch of their new portfolio of natural flavors called BioSymphony.1 “We like to call it ‘complexification’,” says Steve Morris, president of Sensient Flavors & Extracts.1 “BioSymphony takes simple ingredients to the next level and enables you to do more with less.”

BioSymphony is recognized globally as a natural flavor which means that it removes special regional labeling, as well as streamlines global brand formulations. The new offering is able to work with a variety of food and beverage applications.

The press release mentions that BioSymphony allows developers to create flavorful products that can “resonate with today’s conscious consumers.”1

There are three strategic ways BioSymphony can be beneficial for food and beverages:1

  1. Premiumization: Improves products with providing stronger flavoring.
  2. Flavor Expansion: Developers will be able to “unlock new dimensions in their current flavor library.”
  3. Ingredient Challenge Solutions: Enhances the capabilities of key ingredients. Developers will be able to preserve the intended flavor impact by decreasing or changing premium, scarce, or production-limiting ingredients.

“We’re using nature’s instruments to create taste harmony,” says Suja Senan, PhD, senior innovation scientist II and lead developer of BioSymphony.1 “Just as a string quartet is beautiful, a full symphony orchestra brings a piece to life—filling the senses and connecting emotionally. That’s what BioSymphony does with flavor.”
