The session will focus on AIDP's magnesium l-threonate brain-health ingredient, Magtein.
Ingredients supplier AIDP Inc. (City of Industry, CA) will host an educational session on its magnesium l-threonate brain-health ingredient Magtein at the upcoming Natural Products Expo West trade show in Anaheim, CA.
The session, titled Brain Magnesium and Cognitive Health, will feature a worldwide expert in cognitive health, Guosong Liu, MD, PhD. Liu is president and founder of the Center for Learning and Memory, School of Medicine, Tsinghua University, in Beijing, China. He is also an adjunct full professor of the Center for Learning and Memory at the University of Texas, Austin.
Liu will speak about Magtein’s ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, allowing for what AIDP says is higher bioavailability compared to other magnesium forms. The ingredient is said to address cognitive health, including short-term memory loss and mild anxiety. Studies on Magtein have been published in Neuron (January 2010) and The Journal of Neuroscience (October 2011). The company adds that animal research has shown Magtein to improve short-term and long-term memory, as well as spacial recognition.
The presentation will take place Saturday, March 10, from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. at the Exhibitor Presented Seminar theater in Hall A, Booth #150.
