Probiotic Supplier UAS Laboratories Acquired

Probiotic ingredients supplier UAS Laboratories (Eden Prairie, MN) has been acquired by private equity firm Lakeview Equity Partners. The acquisition comes with new management, including a new president and chief scientific officer.

The new president is Kevin Mehring, who previously served as director of sales, dietary supplements/pharma, Americas, for DuPont Nutrition & Health. The new chief scientific officer is Greg Leyer, PhD, who has more than 19 years in probiotic research. He also hails from DuPont Nutrition & Health.

UAS Laboratories’ original founder, S.K. Dash, PhD, will remain with the company as chairman, founder, and director of new product development.
