Flavors formulator Virginia Dare (Brooklyn, NY) is seeking a new team member for its flavor applications team. The company is currently looking for a flavor applications manager and describes the position thusly:
The individual will provide leadership and general management guidance to the Health and Wellness Flavor Applications unit as well as hands on product development expertise to deliver a high level of service in the day-to-day operation of the team in support of ongoing and new business. Qualified candidates will have a BS (required) or MS (desired) in food science or a related discipline with 15+ years of relevant experience including management of a team of flavor application professionals. Additional qualifications include proficiency in flavor application and evaluation, excellent oral and written communication skills, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products. Desired application experience includes ready to drink nutritional beverages, nutrition bars, gummies and confections, baked goods, dairy products, solid pharmaceutical dosage forms (tablets and capsules), and liquid cough/cold products.
