Henry Rowland, project founder of the Detox Project, said that the organization’s Glyphosate Residue Free certification is now the second fastest-growing certification in the U.S.

Verdure Sciences (Noblesville, IN) says that its Longvida curcumin and Pomella pomegranate extracts have been certified by the Detox Project's Glyphosate Residue Free program as being free of the herbicide glyphosate. The company says that this certification “prov[es] that Longvida and Pomella not only offer full traceability but are independently certified free of glyphosate residues.”

Bhaumik Darji, quality assurance manager at Verdure Sciences, says that in order to achieve the certification, ingredient samples are required to be tested multiple times throughout the year for glyphosate residues.

In a press release, Henry Rowland, project founder of the Detox Project, said that the organization’s Glyphosate Residue Free certification is now the second fastest-growing certification in the U.S. He stated: “More and more people are looking out for glyphosate in their products, the number of online searches regarding glyphosate in the past five years has grown about 900%-1000% per year. Consumers are now seeking out products that are glyphosate free, similar to how they would search for gluten or soy free products.”
