Plant-based nutrition brand Vega (Burnaby, BC, Canada) recently launched its new Protein+ snack bars, which combine plant protein, leafy greens, inulin from chicory root fiber, and more.
Available in two flavors, Chocolate Peanut Butter or Chocolate Carmel, each Vega Protein+ bar contains 11 grams of plant-based protein from a blend of pea protein, brown rice protein, and peanut butter or almonds (depending on the flavor). Peas, leafy greens, sprouts, and other vegetables can also be found in each bar, as well as 4 grams of fiber coming from chicory root inulin, rice starch, and nuts. A full list of the bars’ ingredients is available online here.
Vega says its Protein+ snack bars are now available online in packs of 4 or 12, and in health stores and national retailers across the United States. The new bars are also Non-GMO Project verified, gluten-free, and vegan.
