Sabinsa promotes Umar Jan to president of European operation

Muhammed Majeed, PhD, the founder and chairman of Sabinsa (East Windsor, NJ) promoted Umar Jan, PhD, to president of European operations and will be based in the Langen, Germany office; his previous role was resident director.

“Dr. Jan’s scientific knowledge along with his business experience makes him the ideal member of our team to manage our continued growth throughout the European Union,” Dr. Majeed said in a press release.

Jan has an executive MBA degree from Mannheim Business School and a Doctorate in Biochemistry from Goethe University. Prior to joining Sabinsa, he worked at a number of international research institutes, including the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Heidelberg.
