Robertet Health and Beauty (Grasse, France) has launched Melorun, a 100% natural melon juice concentrate designed to reduce oxidative stress and inflammation to support recovery following moderate and intense physical training. According to the firm, three unpublished studies demonstrated a number of benefits from Melorun supplementation.
For example, a clinical study of 38 healthy men over the ages of 35 participating in regular to moderate exercise for eight weeks found that supplementation increased physical well-being by 6% and reduced physical fatigue by 13%. Physiologically processes were also restored more quickly compared to placebo, increasing oxidative defense by 9% and reducing inflammation by 36%. Another study on a small sample of 9 professional volleyball players over ten weeks found that supplementation supported mental well-being, reducing sports-specific stress by 27% and emotional stress by 28%.
The patented ingredient has a low efficacious dose of 40 mg, is allergen free, solvent and additive free, kosher, halal, and vegan. It is also fully traceable, derived from melons grown in the south of France.
