Probiotic Coffee Recognized for Excellence

The companies say the product is the world’s first probiotic coffee.

Tipton Mills’ Probiotic Instant Coffee received a SupplySide Insights Award at the recent SupplySide MarketPlace trade show in New York City. The coffee contains Ganeden BC30, a patented Bacillus coagulans strain from Ganeden Biotech (Cleveland) that can withstand heat, cold, and other conditions that typically destroy most probiotics. The companies say the product is the world’s first probiotic coffee.

Tipton Mills features Ganeden BC30 throughout its line of instant coffees, chai lattes, cappuccinos, teas, and high-protein shakes and smoothies. Ganeden’s vice president of business development, Mike Bush, says the Instant Coffee “demonstrates that the market is ready for innovative, probiotic-boosted products.”
