As dietary supplement companies strive to formulate products that are more personalized and targeted to specific consumer needs, one probiotics company is marketing its products as seasonal, with ingredients targeting consumer health needs during a particular time of the year. The company sells its products on a subscription basis.
The company is called Jetson. It offers four products: Fit (Summer), Mood (Fall), Immunity (Winter), and Outside (Spring). Consumers are recommended to take the Fit product during the months of June, July, and August; Mood during September, October, and November; Immunity during December, January, and February; and Outside during March, April, and May.
Each product is formulated with probiotic strains that are meant to provide consumers with specific health benefits:
Says the company on its website: “The seasons change, and our health needs change along with them. Because our gut controls a huge portion of our health, we infuse our probiotics with carefully selected seasonal strains to optimize your well being.”
