Capsugel will be sold for $2.375 billion in cash.
Pfizer announced plans to sell Capsugel (Peapack, NJ), the world’s leading provider of pharmaceutical and dietary supplement capsules, to private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Capsugel will be sold for $2.375 billion in cash.
Last year, Capsugel generated approximately $750 million in revenue and manufactured more than 180 billion hard capsules. The transaction is expected to be completed this year. Capsugel will maintain its corporate presence in the United States and its global headquarters in New Jersey.
