Peach Varietal Flavors Make Drink Debut

Article

Sensient Flavors now has peach varietal flavors to help manufacturers move beyond plain old "peach flavor."

With peach season just beginning in some parts of the United States, now is as good a time as any to take another look at these stone fruits. But Sensient Flavors LLC (Hoffman Estates, IL) wants to remind manufacturers that products can be made with more than just peach flavor. The flavor specialist now offers peach flavors in six different varieties.

Sensient says each flavor is natural and true to the flavor of the particular peach it represents. Here they are, along with their flavor notes:

  • Red Haven Peach: slightly ripe and juicy notes

  • Arctic Supreme Peach: woody, floral, and sweet notes

  • Baby Crawford Peach: fruity, woody, and candy-like notes

  • Belle of Georgia Peach: bold and fresh notes that appeal to kids

  • Dixon Peach: syrupy and aromatic notes

  • Loring: a dynamic “whole-fruit approach” to the peach flavor profile

Right now, Sensient is distributing sample kits that showcase these distinct peach flavors in sodas, teas, and juices. The flavors are presumably available for a host of other applications beyond beverages, such as candies. To learn about Sensient’s varietal flavors, including cherry flavors, contact the company at the link above.
