Dietary supplement contract manufacturer NutraScience Labs (Farmingdale, NY) has opened a new distribution center in Hauppauge, NY, that it says will enhance freight shipping for existing and future customers thanks to its convenient access to I-495. The 13,500-sq-ft building contains a new warehouse to store raw nutraceutical ingredients and finished products. The company’s headquarters in Farmingdale, NY, are where its main warehouse and distribution facility are located.
“We’re thrilled that the new warehouse facility is now up and running,” said Adam Gershenson, director of logistics and fulfillment operations, NutraScience Labs, in a press release. “Being located right by the Long Island Expressway is already proving to be a huge asset to us, allowing easy access for shipping and deliveries that help us to better service our customers.”
The new climate-controlled site uses solar power and gas and features special racking systems to maximize storage space and to speed prepping and shipping times. The site is GMP certified by NSF International.
“From the climate-controlled interior to the use of solar power and gas, the new facility has been outfitted to meet our high standards for operations to ensure the integrity of everything we store while being environmentally conscious,” said Vincent Tricarico, executive vice president, NutraScience Labs. “We’re also happy to be expanding in Long Island and continue to be active participants in this booming business community.”
