The Natural Products Association (NPA; Washington, DC) has named John Spitaleri Shaw its new executive director and CEO. Prior to joining NPA, Shaw held a number of top positions in Washington, DC, including: Assistant Secretary for Environment, Safety, and Health at the Department of Energy; Senior Vice President of Government Affairs at the Portland Cement Association; Senate Investigative Counsel to Senator Fred Thompson; and public policy attorney with Patton Boggs LLP.
Shaw said he is excited about the opportunity “because the global demand for natural has never been stronger. Americans and people worldwide are switching to truly natural products for their daily needs like never before, so this is an exceptional time for both the industry but also for the cultural change underway.”
