North American Distribution Agreement for PromOat Beta-Glucan

Biovelop AB (Kimstad, Sweden) has signed an exclusive distribution agreement in the United States for its PromOat ingredient, an oat beta-glucan soluble fiber. Brenntag North America Inc. will now handle U.S. distribution.

“We have seen an overwhelming level of interest in PromOat from U.S. food and beverage manufacturers,” says David Peters, director of sales and marketing for Biovelop.

Thanks to Biovelop’s patented, chemical-free process, PromOat is said to offer the health benefits of oat but without the oat taste, color, or graininess.
