The new mixer is designed to help manufacturers translate applications from the lab to production stage
Designed to help manufacturers translate applications from the lab to production stage, the new Silverson Verso is a bench-top inline mixer ideal for pilot-scale or laboratory applications.
Offered by Silverson Machines (East Longmeadow, MA), the mixer is controlled from a digital operating touch pad. It offers good reproducibility when scaling up. With a tachometer, ammeter, and programmable timer, it provides an accurate and easy method of forecasting the performance of larger inline mixers under full-scale conditions.
“It gives clients the ability to start scaling accurately with smaller volumes than they were able to previously,” says David Rothman, the company’s director. “Our customers wanted an interim size machine that could allow them to streamline their scale-up process.”
The 1-hp machine has a self-pumping flow rate of 6.5 U.S. gal/min, depending on product viscosity.
