“Magnesium deficiency is a concern for all children, but, according to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), deficiency of this critical mineral is more prevalent among children who suffer from ADHD," the firm says.
Kids’ supplements brand Anlit Advanced Nutrition has launched an all-natural magnesium supplement for children called Yomi Magnesium. According to the company, the supplement is designed to taste appealing while addressing magnesium deficiency in children aged 5 to 14.
“Magnesium deficiency is a concern for all children, but, according to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), deficiency of this critical mineral is more prevalent among children who suffer from ADHD. In turn, magnesium supplementation has been found to ease hyperactive behavior and increase focus and attention, enabling children to concentrate better and think more clearly,” the firm states in a press release.
EFSA has already given a positive opinion for an Article 13 health claim linking dietary intake of magnesium and contribution to normal psychological functions, as well as bone health, healthy teeth, and increased energy.
The Yomi supplement is sugar free, chewable, and utilizes microencapsulation technology to flavor mask. The supplements are a bear- or cube-shaped chocolate-like format.
