Kemin (Des Moines, IA), manufacturer of the FloraGLO lutein ingredient brand, is now a platinum sponsor of the Ocular Nutrition Society (ONS), a group educating about the link between nutrition and eye health. Kemin says this sponsorship coincides with the company’s own, new “Don’t Lose Sight of the Science” campaign, which is designed to promote the science supporting FloraGLO lutein.
“Kemin and ONS have both been long-time pioneers of ocular nutrition,” said ONS president Dr. Jeffrey Anshel in a press release. “The partnership comes at an ideal time, following the release of the National Eye Institute’s (NEI) second Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS2), which reaffirms the importance of lutein supplementation as a link between nutrition and eye health.”
ONS and Kemin will host a webcast tomorrow on what the AREDS2 result mean to vision health.
