Lonza (Visp, Switzerland) has announced its fortieth anniversary as a producer of vitamin B3 (also known as niacin).
More than half of the world’s vitamin B3 demand for global feed and food industries is supplied by Lonza, according to the company. To meet growing demand for the nutrient, Lonza plans to open a new manufacturing facility in Nansha, China by next year. The facility will increase Lonza’s production capacity by 15,000 metric tons per year.
Lonza continues to play an active role in vitamin B3 research for human and animal health.
