Ingredients by Nature is partnering with Israel-based Galam to distribute GOFOS, a short chain fructo-oligosaccharide.

Ingredients by Nature (IBN; Montclaire, CA) is partnering with Israel-based Galam to distribute GOFOS, a short chain fructo-oligosaccharide (sc-FOS) that acts as a soluble, prebiotic, non-digestible fiber. IBN will be the sole distributor to the nutraceutical industry.
The ingredient is produced from non-GMO beet sugar by a proprietary enzymatic process. It promotes the growth and activity of beneficial gut microbiota and helps maintain a healthy gut to support the gut, weight management, blood sugar management, and enhanced immunity. It can also help the body better absorb minerals such as calcium and magnesium.
“The partnership of IBN with Galam is a perfect match to bring this superior prebiotic to the American nutraceuticals market,” said Rob Brewster, president of IBN, in a press release. “In addition to providing GOFOS on its own, we will also be distributing the newly created GOFOS with ‘low water activity’ designed for greater stability when blended with our high-quality Brewster Brand probiotics, which have a symbiotic effect for enhance immune support.”
