Jost Chemical Co. will promote its line of microencapsulated mineral salts under the trade name JostCote. Jost’s microencapsulated products utilize the company’s custom-engineered, particle-coating technology. Using this technology, the company develops high-purity mineral salt applications, including mineral salts not already part of the company’s existing product line. The company will also promote its calcium magnesium citrate co-salt at the show. This co-salt, available in both powder and granular form, is a unique compound and a not a simple dry blend. Instead, it contains calcium and magnesium in a 2:1 Ca:Mg molar ratio. This co-salt remains fluid in aqueous mixtures and offers an improved, directly compressible magnesium source for tablet manufacturers.
