Grass Ingredient and Berry Blends

As expected, NP Nutra (Gardena, CA) launched its Super Berry antioxidant blend at Expo West 2012. The blend of fruits and berries-including maqui, blueberry, and acerola-is rich in anthocyanins, resveratrol, carotenes, and other phytonutrients. The ingredient blend is best suited as a ready-to-mix ingredient for functional foods and beverages.

NP Nutra surprised us with an additional launch at the show: Green Balance Alkalizing Blend. The ingredient complex is a blend of alkalizing superfoods, such as barley grass, cracked-cell chlorella, alfalfa, and wheatgrass. Of the many ingredients in Green Balance, several are certified organic. The company’s newest green food formula is suited as a stand-alone dietary supplement and for capsules, functional, foods, and beverages.
