Frutarom Targets Latin America

Helping manufacturers fortify dairy, breads, and beverages will be a key focus for Frutarom in Latin America.

Flavor and ingredients supplier Frutarom Health (Switzerland) is entering the Latin American market, according to recent company reports.

As part of the transition, Frutarom has hired José Blásquez Fernández as sales manager for Spain and Latin America. Fernández formerly held senior business positions with Cognis, where he worked from 1988 to 2011.

“Blásquez’s primary role will be to introduce the region to Frutarom and its portfolio of high-quality health ingredients, and to offer expertise in combining taste and health in final functional food products,” said Raul Cortada, VP of sales and marketing for Frutarom’s Health Business Unit. “Our main challenge would be to help food manufacturers with fortification of dairy, breads, beverages, and margarine via our extensive health active ingredients including our botanic extracts line.”
