Frutarom to Target Functional Foods Market

Israel-based ingredients firm Frutarom Health is now positioning its ingredients for the functional food market. The company will now strategically promote the capabilities of its flavors and food systems business with its condition-specific health ingredients.

The company provides examples of how its existing health-promoting ingredients can apply to functional food. For instance, its Portusana purslane extract for blood glucose maintenance can be used in beverages and chocolates; UniK2 vitamin K2 for bone health applies to dairy products; Neuravena green oat extract for cognitive health is used in cereal bars; and Finomate green mate extract can enhance slimming drinks.
