Qualicon is the firm’s food-diagnostics unit, responsible for innovating systems for microbial detection, identification, and monitoring.
DuPont (Wilmington, DE) has brought three of its food-related units-Danisco, Solae, and Qualicon-under one name: DuPont Nutrition & Health. Qualicon is the most recent company to move under the DuPont Nutrition & Health umbrella. Qualicon is the firm’s food-diagnostics unit, responsible for innovating systems for microbial detection, identification, and monitoring.
Qualicon’s BAX system, RiboPrinter system, and other products have now been integrated into the molecular diagnostics product line of DuPont Nutrition & Health. These systems join DuPont Danisco’s food-protective ingredients-antimicrobials, antioxidants, and cultures-which are also part of the DuPont Nutrition & Health food-protection portfolio.
“As part of a larger food-protection unit, we can now provide customers with more comprehensive food safety and quality solutions,” says Doris Engesser-Sudlow, global product leader for diagnostics.
